It was a relatively inexpensive and very private hostel. It was very accommodating considering I don't speak any Spanish.

I wish they had an English-speaking employee on duty at all times. Luckily I had a friend who could speak Spanish so this wasn't a big problem.

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center of Alcalá de Henares, close to the old town and the train station. It is within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Calle Mayor. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the premises are clean.

I recently stayed at a hotel in a great location with lots to see and do nearby. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. I had a small issue with noisy neighbors, but it was resolved when I alerted the staff. I would recommend this hotel.

Perfectly fine for my needs and budget-clean and tidy, with helpfully English speaking staff and conveniently late check-in.

Value for money

I had paid cash, later on the day I was called by Booking .com that the Hostal did not accept amex (thats the cc I used to book) if I had another cc to pay, I was surprised by the administrative failure of the hostal. So make sure you get a recept after paying.

The location of the hotel is great, as it is close to the city center of Alcalá de Henares. You can easily explore the town and visit all the main attractions. there is a cafe just 30 meters away where you can grab a bite or enjoy a cup of coffee.

Finding parking near the hotel was quite difficult. I had to use a paid garage in the same street, which was not very convenient.

The room at Hotel Complutense was just what I needed - comfortable and cozy, with a double bed that ensured a good night's sleep. The air-conditioning was a relief from the hot weather, and the free WiFi kept me connected throughout my stay. Having a flat-screen TV in the room was a nice touch, and the private bathroom with complimentary toiletries made me feel pampered. I felt at home in the room and enjoyed my stay.

Personally, I would have preferred a room with a shower instead of a bathtub. But hey, that's just me!
